![]() ![]() I spent I think, a solid 2 months with Ember support trying to fix this and ended up finding it on my own. Once you've done this you should notice that your Ember Mug connects flawlessly to the app and is actually functional. Just follow the on screen instructions and you should be all set. You will most likely need to re-sign into the app. Step 6) Open the App and follow all the normal setup options. This is normal since the mug probably doesn't detect the app yet and cuts bluetooth off the save battery. Don't worry if it doesn't stay connected after you do this. Once that is done, you should see something like Figure D above in your previously connected devices. To do this, put the app in pairing mode, go to your bluetooth menu and click "Pair a new device". The first thing you want to do is put the mug in pairing mode and pair it using the standard bluetooth menu NOT the app. ![]() This is where my steps deviate from Ember. Step 5) Now that your mug is reset, and everything should be back to a "pre-ember" state, you can start to re-pair everything. If you see this, click on the settings for it and click "Forget" the device. If I go to previously connected devices I see "Ember Ceramic Mug" like Fig D below. Step 4) Lastly for resetting everything, just to make sure, go to your bluetooth settings and make sure you don't have anything related to Ember in there. I would just search for "How to reset ember mug" and follow those steps. You can click this link: But someitmes those links break over time. You can reset the mug using the steps provided by Ember. This may be a little different on every device but on "Stock" Android, you can go to the settings app, search for Ember (Fig B.), then click the "Storage" section. These directions are most likely universal for every Android device but YMMV. Someone else on the Reddit thread said they also got it working on their Galaxy S20. The following steps have been tested by me on an OG Pixel, Pixel 2, and Pixel 3XL. At first I thought I wouldn't use it, and I almost didn't because of how many issues I had getting it to work with my Android devices. I've had an Ember mug since December of 2017.
